    Today, Wednesday, November 4, 2020, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud sponsors the Virtual Small and Medium Enterprises 2020 Forum, which is held via video communication entitled "The Future of E-Commerce", with the participation of a number of government and private agencies that support and sponsor small and medium enterprises.
    Among the activities of the forum will be the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises.
    The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Asharqia Chamber, Abdul Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi, appreciated the patronage of His Highness, the Governor of the Eastern Province, for this event, which means supporting a promising, pioneering and influential sector in the Kingdom's Vision 2030 journey, and is part of many activities undertaken by the Chamber to support the supreme national options in support of the principle of enhancing the presence of small and medium enterprises in The economic landscape.
    Al-Khalidi said that the forum’s vision revolves around “promoting the transformation into electronic commerce for owners of small and medium enterprises,” in line with the language of the contemporary economy, which has accelerated with the emergence of the Corona pandemic, and from here the forum carries a message and slogan that is to transform the concept of e-commerce among owners of small enterprises And the medium for it to be a major tributary to the expansion of their projects, "according to the logic of reality imposed by the circumstances of the spread of the epidemic, in addition to the fact that electronic commerce has become a strategic trade trend not only in the Kingdom but also in the global economy in general .. Pointing out that the Asharqia Chamber has paid continuous attention to the issue of electronic commerce. For more than 20 years, she has discussed this matter in many events, and her dialogue continues with many parties concerned with this matter.
    Al-Khalidi referred to the forum’s objectives that are concerned with spreading awareness of the importance of e-commerce and technology among owners of small and medium enterprises in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in general and in the Eastern Province in particular. And benefit from the distinguished and pioneering global experiences in the field of technology and e-commerce in support of small and medium enterprises.​
    For his part, the Chairman of the Young Businessmen Council in the Asharqia Chamber, Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Farraj, said that the forum’s activities seek to identify the best economic sectors in which to transform e-commerce and technology by small and medium enterprises and discuss ways to support them. Administrative, technical, and technical staff.
    Al-Farraj indicated that the forum seeks to create a competitive environment to encourage entrepreneurs and owners of small and medium enterprises to initiate and work to educate young businessmen and women and urge them to present their ideas and take the initiative in it, and to inform them of some successful young experiences to benefit from them, and to know what the funding agencies offer to support Young men and women projects.
    He pointed out that the forum will also discuss the role of potential and financed entities in the growth and sustainability of small and medium enterprises, and review promising investment opportunities in electronic commerce, supply chains, and logistics services for technical projects.
    Officials and experts participating in the scientific program of the Virtual Small and Medium Enterprises Forum 2020 review a number of themes and topics of importance to the various specializations of the activities of the small and medium-sized enterprise sector in the Kingdom, most notably e-commerce and its importance in making the new economy in line with the Kingdom's 2030 vision.​

    The scientific program of the forum includes four sessions, where the opening session begins at 10:30 am, in which the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Asharqia Chamber, Abdul Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khaldi, Chairman of the Executive Council for Young Businessmen Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Farraj, and the Governor of the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Eng. Saleh bin Ibrahim Al-Rasheed will speak.
    In the first dialogue session held at 11 am under the title "Digital Competition for the Retail Sector", the President of the Saudi Restaurant Association "Qout" will participate, His Highness Prince Al-Waleed bin Nasser bin Farhan Al Saud, the CEO of Nana’s App Company, Eng. Sami Al-Hilweh, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association Retail and E-Commerce Mazen Bin Saleh Al-Darrab, and the session will be chaired by Ibrahim Al-Suhaibani, a member of the Business Youth Council.
    In the second dialogue session held at 12:30 pm under the title "The Future Economy and the Realization of the Kingdom's Vision 2030", Dr. Ahmed Al-Thunayan, the Deputy Governor of the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises for Enterprise Services, will participate. The session is also chaired by a member. The Executive Council for Young Entrepreneurs, Engineer Muhammad Al-Muhammadi.
    In the third and final dialogue session held at 2 pm under the title "Logistic Solutions for E-Commerce in the Kingdom", the Deputy Governor of the General Authority of Customs for Trade Facilitation, Eng. Abdul Rahman bin Sulaiman Al-Dhakir, the General Supervisor of Trade Affairs at the Saudi Post Corporation Abdullah Al-Jali, and the Managing Director of Zajil Al-Sorayaih Yasser bin Abdulaziz Al-Qadi. The session will also be chaired by a member of the Business Youth Council, Abdulrahman Al-Afaleq.
    The workshop program accompanying the forum concludes today, where Abdulaziz Pasha, an electronic commerce specialist, will present a workshop entitled Basics of Passive Income from 7.30 pm to 8.30 pm.
    Asharqia Chamber organized, remotely, last Sunday, a program of virtual workshops under the slogan of E-Commerce Week, which includes 7 specialized workshops presented by experts in business development and e-commerce. The first workshop was presented under the title of electronic payment solutions, Saad Al-Muhanna from the STC Pay team, while he presented the second workshop CEO of Perpetualtc Ahmed Al-Masaari, titled Steps of E-Marketing.
    On the second day, specialist Barry Moltz participated in a workshop entitled Reimagining The Future. Specialist Barrett Ersek also presented a workshop entitled Unlock Innovation In Your Company.
    On the third day, Eng. Abdulaziz Al-Hammadi from the Technical Transformation Company presented a workshop entitled: Fundamentals of Technology and Software, from 3:30 pm to 4.30 pm, and the Marketing Director of the Zed Nawwaf Al-Darrab platform also presented a workshop entitled Transformation for E-Commerce from 4.30 pm to 5.30 pm.​
